  • Why invitation only?
    Our program is invitation only because we want to be sure that we have the best players in our program. Our recruiting service (Rocky Mountain Athletics) keeps tabs on all of the top players, statistically, in our region. Of those players we find the ones that are coachable and excel in the classroom. Those players then receive an invitation to try-out for our club team.
  • How are teams selected/How many players per team?
    We will have a two-day tryout (March 9 and March 10) with all invitees. Our coaches will then select players to each of our five teams. Each team will have a max of 9 players. We strongly believe that each player should be on the floor 70-80 percent of the time in order to benefit from summer play, which is why we keep our roster numbers low.
  • What days are practice/Where will they be held?
    We will most-likely have practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays with footwork and ball-handling skills sessions on Wednesdays. All practice updates will be posted on TeamSnap to notify everyone if there are any changes. We will have a few different practice locations in order to accommodate all players. Main Practice Facility: Denver East High School Occasionally: Castle View High School (to accommodate players who live Southward) In case of school closures: St Francis De Sales Grade School
  • What is the schedule for the month of June?
    The month of June is high school month. This means that all club players return to their high schools and compete in team camps/open-gyms. This is a club shut down period for us. We will have practice once a week (mid-June) but will not be competing in any tournaments. We will pick back up with our regular practice schedule the last week of June to prepare for Nike Nationals in Chicago. Our middle school team will continue to practice as normal for the month of June.
  • How much is the average travel tournament?
    Each tournament will be between $400-$500 The cost includes airfare, rental van, entry fees, and hotel.
  • Will there be fundraisers?
    Yes, we will have fundraisers to help athletes with travel expenses. Upon team selection we will put together a parent committee to help plan and run our team fundraisers.
